* Friends = Free Therapists! Talk about how you're feeling and allow them to comfort you and offer you advice.
* Don't make excuses to see them or call them. Just let go, no matter how much it hurts.
* Avoid your EX phone calls or tell them not to call you anymore.
* When you hear a song on the radio that reminds you of them, turn the station immediately and think of something else
* Delete your EX from address book, or cell phone. You shouldn't look at their number daily, and you really shouldn't use it.
* Clear your mind of all negative feelings to help you slowly let go of any lingering bitterness
* Cry as much as you can, until you get bored and realized why waste time with crying.
* Consider all the possible reasons why the relationship has ended, and you'll have more acceptable understanding.
* Give yourself plenty of time to heal and recuperate. Put away pictures, gifts or any mementos that remind you of your ex.
* Go out and have fun. Don't stay home and sulk, as it will only make you feel more miserable.
* Going out with friends will remind you that being single can be just as fun as being in a relationship.
* Keep Busy. When you exercise you release endorphins in your body and releasing those endorphins makes you feel happier.
* If you know your EX passwords (Facebook/Twitter), resist the temptation to go into their acc. It will make the pain worse!
* Stop talking about what happened, it makes moving on even harder. The key to getting over a break up: learn and then move on.
* Every day when you get up tell your self that “I am able to be happy with or without (your EX name) in my life.
* Try to dispose everything that reminds you of your EX. Remove his favorite song, and replace it with yours.
* Don't scramble back to your EX, professing your love, trying to reignite a snuffed flame simply because your ego is bruised.
* Your ex turned your heart to stone? Change this by opening your heart to others. Make "connections!
* Channel all of your energy into positive activities that make you feel good about yourself.
* Don't lie in bed feeling miserable. Get up, go about your daily life. It will help you get your mind off the breakup.
* If you really want to work on how to get over a break up, give yourself enough time and space to deal with the situation.
* Do something quiet and relaxing to help you feel better. Maybe you want to take a hot bath, or read a book. That's fine!
* Call you friend, call your Mom, do whatever you have to. Getting over an ex means not getting set back by stupid mistakes.
* Stop talking about what happened, it makes moving on even harder. The key to getting over a break up: learn and then move on.
* The first step in getting over a broken relationship: Acknowledge and accept that the relationship is over.
* Accept the past for what it was. The past is the past. You are in this present moment and have a future to live for.
