Do looks matter in a relationship?

A lot of us lay so much emphasis on outward beauty, on the color of our skin, our hair and eyes that we forget to appreciate the beauty that lies within.

Does love diminish if the person's appearance doesn't match your appearance? Is our initial judgment of people based on superficial criterion alone?
