BE FLEXIBLE

What does it mean when you say “let go and let God”? Are you struggling with your belief that things and issues before you should be done the way you want them to happen? Human as we are, we make plans and insist on doing them our own way, time and power to get them realized.

More often than not the results are adverse to what we expected and then we get frustrated. I asked people who to me seem to be successful about formula of their success and their response is “Be flexible, just follow the flow”.

Simply said, we are discouraged to be rigid, resisting and going against the current.

This is liken to a potter that can’t work on dry and hard clay to mould. It is easier to mould when the clay is wet and flexible.

In our everyday walk of life, we come across situations which are beyond our capacity to control and there seems to be no solutions that we know of. We get frustrated and disappointed.

Insisting on our own ways will get us to nowhere and it will only exhaust and disappoint us tremendously.

Expecting joy and contentment to happen in our everyday living or on big plans to venture upon, requires flexibility and the willingness to yield and to surrender to go on with the flow.

Don’t cling on your own way and ideas to work on your goals to reality. Be not close to suggestions and be willing to accept that some people have better ideas and ways that brought them great results and success.

This way, being flexible will make one more resilient to any snags and difficulties and will make him ready to accept whatsoever will come.. it will bring great results when like a child , opening his presents, we are open, expectant and waiting for any mystery to happen and not locked up in our own expectation of how things should happen.

As Christians we are taught to be total surrender to God’s will on us. Because we learned that He is a God who does all things possible, that He is in control and works in mysterious ways beyond our human comprehension.

Going against His will makes Him the potter who will work on dry and brittle clay. His ways are not our ways and surely they are better than ours.

So far every hopeless situation that we are facing, we should commit great things to happen. We know because He is great and knows what is good for us.
