Love comes from a Source
That’s eternal and free.
Sometimes it hurts,
And when I feel the pain,
The temptation is great
To close my heart again.
But I remember your smile,
The gentle look in your eyes,
The times that you held me
When I wanted to cry.
It’s easy to say
It’s your fault, no, it’s mine.
But why search for blame.
There’s really no crime.
I want you to know
That love never dies.
I feel it in your touch;
It’s sheltered in your eyes.
And though we have parted
And this seems like the end.
My heart remains open,
Love will touch it again.
