Most of June bares itself an insignia that another school year had set off. As the classes started we are also transpired to an exciting yet apprehensive roller coaster ride of a student's life. A hunch of enjoyment, frustration, bliss and fiascoes are about to bump us on our way, yet we still have to hold on to survive.

We are all cognizant that being a student is far from lying in bed of roses. Despite the enjoyment of the shared moments and laughter with our friends and special someone, the fun of having an idyll tour in the downtown and others, we are still aware that this jovial feeling is accompanied with anxiety. Frown and sigh are still inconceivable because of our myriad must-to-do research, projects, school work and the nerve- racking quizzes and exams and the reality that we must accomplish all of this for us to avoid disappointing our hopeful parents and for us to finish our studies.

When it comes to academic pressures, no one is exempted. We just find ourselves nervous, uncertain and worried to the bone on how we can cope up with all our tiring and mind- draining academic schemes.

We’ll before, I’m just another student like you who understands all the difficulties and challenges you undergo. With the aim to lighten up the burden of a student’s dilemma, here are some tips on how you can handle your academic life:

1. First and foremost learn to love what you are doing. You’ll be amazed to see how far you can accomplish a school work if you regard it with eagerness and passion and not just a mere obligation.
2. Proper Time Management. Most of the student’s sentiment is that they don’t have enough time in doing this and that. Actually time is all up on how we consume them. Learn to budget your time for your own convenience and to avoid cramming. Post a time schedule for all of your activities and work for the day for you to manage your time well.
3. Study in advance. You may say that the exam is still on a long way run and the idea of studying lulled you to sleep. Yet even just 30 minutes browsing your notes every night will be your big advantage. It’s undoubtedly that being well prepared is better than studying on the 11th hour.
4. Focus and mindset. You just have to instill it in your mind that you are sent to this school to study. A little fun will absolutely ad color to your life, but just be sure that studying is not slipping out of your mind.
5. Be cool, yet prepared. Try to smile and flaunt that cool aura in your class. Playing it smooth and confident will lessen up your nervousness even in the time of recitation of a terror teacher. But just be sure that you are equipped and prepared with every day’s twist.
6. Know your priorities. It may seem to be lots of fun to stroll around with your pals but if exams or quizzes is to be conducted soon. You better postpone your plans and stay put in your room and study.
7. Have time to relax and enjoy. Being too much devoted to your books is somewhat stressing. You must also spare a time to relax and unwind especially after a tedious examination. Bonding with your friends or chatting with your boardmates over a late breakfast will do. Its also good to study with a refresh and relaxed mind.

These are just tips on how we can balance our academic life but bear it in mind that it all depend on us, on our determination, endurance and discipline. If everything else is still on a mess and we are in despair and almost giving up, just try to remember this:
“You can only see the trials and feel difficulties if you already lost the vision of your goals.”
